AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT

This week, I'm continuing the trend I started last time, by including a local author.

TRACY:

Another Ozarks author, I met Tracy at VisionCon last year. TrIIIbrid is an interesting blend of subgenres, with a sexy, grown up twist and some very engaging characters.  If you're tired of the same old tired take on the supernatural beings, give this talented author a read.

This story is a terrific exercise in creativity and originality, mashing two separate genres, superheroes and zombies, with one of the most original origins for the zombie apocalypse I've ever seen.

HP MALLORY:
HP Mallory is a talented writer who I met through Online Writer's Workshop. I was privileged to be one of her beta readers and crit partner for this book, and I loved it from the first read. Even more impressive is that she turned rejection into self-publishing success, and turned self-publishing success into a contract with a publisher with her Jolie Wilkins series. She continues to be an inspiration and an example to me. This is the book that started her path to success. Below is her latest release:

One of my more interesting finds, this is a sort of magickal mystery. I enjoyed the main character, and the twist that was waiting for me at the end. This was a world with a hint of magick done subtle, steampunk with a shade of Sixth Sense.

PN ELROD:
A fascinating world of angels and demons, where the angels are not so much friends of humanity, but rather our stern and unyielding rulers. The main character's background as a neo-mage is intriguing, as well as her efforts to hide who and what she is from an untrusting and hostile population.

PN Elrod is another talented writer who I have the pleasure of being acquainted with through her Facebook page. It doesn't hurt that she's from Texas, where I grew up. This particular selection is from her Vampire Files series.
